I post a lot of ink swatches to Instagram, and other social media, and I’ve had a lot of great feedback that people enjoy seeing them. Searching Instagram is not a great experience, so I’ve started to upload them here for easy searching and filtering.

The same ink may have multiple entries in the database if I have multiple swatches of it.

<aside> ⚠️ Using the Gallery

Use the controls in the top right of the gallery to search, sort or filter the contents. I still have a lot to upload, and most of it isn’t yet tagged properly — work in progress!

To find inks which are swatched with others on the same page, use the 🔍 search icon at the top right of the table and search for the ink name.

A Note on Paper

• Swatch Card samples with two cards will show Sanzen TRP on the left, Iroful on the right, unless otherwise specified.
• If there are more than two swatch cards, or if it varies, the swatch type will include the “Multi Paper” tag, and the papers will be listed in the gallery entry below the picture.
• Where paper type is “Other” see the gallery entry below the picture for details.

Abbreviations

TRP: Tomoe River Paper CAL: Cosmo Air Light CAS: Cosmo Air Snow

Numbers in paper names refer to GSM.

Ink Swatch Gallery
